July 2 - Hanging out in Elkins, West Virginia

One misty moisty morning
When cloudy was the weather
There I met an old man
Clothed in all leather

Clothed in all leather
With cap under his chin

How do you do
How do you do
And how do you do again
---Traditional rhyme

This rhyme came to mind this morning as we played golf at the Elkins Elks Lodge. We should not have sent the jackets home! The temperature did not get above 65 today. It was a great day to play golf though! That is about all we did today as the mist and rain came and went all day. Nothing wrong with a day of rest! The pictures:

The skies are ominous.

Finally, a golf ball Brenda can hit!

Clouds and mountains. Mountains and clouds. Plus very steep hills on the golf course.

Obviously, I don't play golf because I am good. This view is one of the reasons I do play. Lester looked out from the this tee-box saying this hole should be par 7, then five shots later he made par.
Almost tipped the golf cart over on this hole! Can you see the two men at the top of the hill in the center?
